Black History Month Education Panel on Racial Disproportionality, School Discipline and Future Directions: A Community Conversation

This symposium will bring together scholars, community organizers, youth and artists to discuss the topic of racial disproportionality in school discipline and the relationship with the school-to-prison pipeline.
Speakers will include students from Art180, School of Education faculty, William Muth, community organizer Zenobia Bey and members of the School of Education's Metropolitan Education Research Consortium.
The event will include a reception with light refreshments and an opportunity for members of the university community to share their relevant work (e.g., books, resources, etc.). This event is generously sponsored by the Education Alumni Council.
