2013 VCU Alumni and Community Bike Ride Alumni and friends are invited to a morning bicycle ride Saturday, April 27. The route begins at the Student Commons and travels east on Osborne Turnpike (Route 5) to the Osborne Boat Landing. The ride is about 23 miles round trip with a few hills and some traffic.There will be an extended route for those who would like to ride a little more than 23 miles. Cue sheets will be provided for all riders.

Join fellow alumni cycling enthusiast and members of the VCU cycling team at the meet-and-greet 8-9 a.m. in the Student Commons' Commonwealth Ballroom. Refreshments will be provided for cyclists at both the meet-and-greet and at the Osborne Boat Landing rest stop. Post-ride box lunches are available for purchase.

VCU cycling kits (jersey and shorts) are available for purchase using the event registration form. You must order by Friday, March 15, to receive your kit before the event. Orders received after March 15 will not arrive until late summer.

Must be 18 years of age to participate in this cycling event. In case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. Check the VCU Alumni Facebook page for the most up-to-date information if the weather is threatening.

The deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, April 24.
