The eighth annual Monroe Scholars Book and Author Luncheon features award-winning author Jill McCorkle, a professor of creative writing at North Carolina State University. Five of her 10 published books have been selected as New York Times Notable Books. She is the winner of the New England Book Award, the John Dos Passos Prize for Excellence in Literature and the North Carolina Award for Literature.
Meet McCorkle at the luncheon and purchase an autographed copy of her novel "Life After Life." A portion of the proceeds fund scholarships for the Monroe Scholars Book Award program.
