Join VCU Libraries for an afternoon at The Powerhouse Arena, located in Dumbo, just a 15-minute train ride from Barclays Center, with VCUarts alumnus Michael Hearst (B.M.’95/A). Hearst is a musician and children’s book author who often blends his passion for writing with music. Some of his most recent work includes a three-part series of “Unusual Creatures,” “Extraordinary People” and “Curious Construction.” The first two works are accompanied by albums Hearst composed. The afternoon includes a chance to hear from and meet Hearst, complimentary appetizers and a visit from Rodney the Ram. Join us and support the work of a VCU Ram and get some great books and music for the kids in your life.
