RPI Heritage Wall

Dear fellow RPI graduates and friends:

The RPI Alumni Council has had a wonderful year. We sponsored a Reunion Weekend that honored members of the 50-year class of 1963. We also sponsored the first RPI Retrospective art show, with more than 100 works of art on exhibit from April 5 to June RPI_1small 5. We are very proud of our efforts to recognize the work of our alumni and to reach out to them so they maintain their affiliation with the university.

The RPI Alumni Council is embarking on a new project, the RPI Heritage Wall, to be constructed in the University Student Commons. This series of history panels will allow present and future students, alumni, faculty and visitors to VCU to learn more about and appreciate the university's proud heritage. Panels in the Hunton Student Center on the MCV Campus similarly depict the history of the Medical College of Virginia. This is s!uch a fitting tribute as the university celebrates its 175th anniversary!

Please view the RPI Heritage Wall's case statement and more renderings. We hope you will become as excited as we are about the chance to show that, before there was VCU, there was RPI.

The council aims to raise $200,000 necessary to complete the project, not a simple task. You can help not only through a contribution but also by contacting other RPI "faithful" and making them aware of this important council project. Please do what you can. Make a gift now.

Thank you, and we hope to see you on the cobblestone campus one day in the future.
