Become a mentor

Thank you for your interest in serving as a mentor with the VCU African-American Alumni Council Mentoring Circle for the 2021-22 cohort. 

VCU Link is the university’s professional networking and career advice platform. As home to the Mentoring Circle, it offers great advantages in helping to structure monthly goals with automatic reminders to facilitate the mentoring process. The online platform also allows the creation of discussion boards for group conversations.

The next step become a mentor is to join the AAAC Mentoring Circle on VCU Link. To join, visit the Mentoring Circle's page in VCU Link. 

Click the green “Join Program” button on the top right. If you are logged in as a current VCU Link member, select that you are joining the program as a mentor. You’ll be prompted to fill out a quick form; once processed, you’ll receive an email confirming your participation.

If you are not a member, you will be prompted to create a VCU Link account. Simply select a login method — LinkedIn, Facebook, email or VCU login — and follow the prompts to set up your VCU Link profile.
