Physical Therapy continuing education event

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. March 08, 2014

This fun and interactive half-day course with speaker Jeff Hoder is designed to provide the licensed physical therapist or student physical therapist with a comprehensive understanding of the neurobiology of why people fall.

The programming will include a review of the neuroanatomy of the sensory systems, which contribute to our orientation in space, as well as the motor output systems, which contribute to maintenance of upright postural control.

After the event, all licensed physical therapists will receive a certificate validating 2.5 continued education contact hour credits.

The proceeds from this event will go to the Foundation for Physical Therapy. If you wish to make an additional contribution to the foundation, you may do so online at http://foundation4pt.org/get-involved/challenge/. Scroll down and click "DONATE," fill in the required information and be sure to select Virginia Commonwealth University under the College/University tab. Your contributions can make a huge difference in the field of Physical Therapy and the lives of many patients as the funds support research grants to study the effectiveness of physical therapist interventions.
