The Student National Dental Association will hold the sixth annual Oral Cancer Walk on April 11 to recognize National Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month.

The focus of the oral cancer walk is to inform the Richmond community of the importance of early detection of oral cancer. Dentists provide regular head and neck exams and are on the front-line of detection of this disease. A portion of the money raised is donated to VCU Philips Institute's for Oral Health Research.
